Three Strand Nylon Anchor Rope with galvanized chain & shackle

When it comes to Three Strand Nylon Anchor Rope, it's important to have a good quality anchor line and sufficient length of anchor rode on board. Generally speaking, you would use a three strand anchor line with an electric windlass.

You should be aware that regardless of the type of anchor line that you have, it all starts with the correct houseboat anchor for your situation.

This rode package includes a generous amount of Nylon Three-Strand rope with thimble, a section of galvanized chain, all connected with a galvanized anchor shackle. It's the perfect rode package for any anchor, however not suitable for electric windlasses.

Selecting the Right Anchor Line
One of the most popular rules of thumb when selecting an anchor line size is to have 1/8" of anchor line diameter for every 9' of boat. In other words, 3/8" anchor line would be suitable for most boats up to 27'. Appropriate sizing may vary depending on boat type, anchoring conditions, and other factors.
