Living the houseboat dream, and now, HEAVEN on WATER
(GA. SPRITE)
Always dreamed of houseboat living, and now, HEAVEN on WATER
What's better than living and dreaming of houseboats, and now enjoying "Heaven on Water". That's the name of the 1985 Hilburn houseboat I call home in a Georgia Lake.
Hanging off the back of the houseboat is a 12' skiff that I hardly ever let down.... Why? The name of the boat tells it all if you're a boater... a houseboater!
Thinking of nothing, doing nothing, that's heaven on water. The funny thing is that when I was eight, I had seen my dream boat in mine. As a boy now 62 years old, I still look out and see "Heaven on Water", and dreams really do come true.
Thanks, from a Georgia Lake.
Reply - AnswerWow, can I relate to your story, and I know what you mean about heaven on the water. As I was reading your words, I could see myself debating whether to take the skiff/dinghy out for a ride or fishing, or just hang back with my two dogs and watch the day go by. Tough decision....?
Thinking of nothing, and doing nothing, now that is life on the water. You can have a busy day, or a laid back relaxing day, and they are all great days living on a house boat. What can be better than falling asleep at night with the gently sliding rocking motion that the wind can sometimes do. (can you tell I love sleeping and living on a boat)
Again, a big thanks for sharing your dream and a moment of your "Heaven on Water". Enjoy it.
