Houseboats on Torch Lake, Northern Michigan

Houseboating on Torch Lake, Michigan, USA
My boat sits in the chain o lakes. I can boat from the channel in town in Bellaire, go into Lake Bellaire, that turns into Grass River which empties into Clam Lake ( where I actually dock my boat).
With a short trip under East Torch Lake Drive bridge through the channel at Dockside and into Torch Lake, all 19 miles of it! Heading south past the Sandbar and another bridge at Crystal Beach road (this one's a bit lower...canopy is coming down)
I'm in Torch River now. The river opens up into Skedgemog Lake. Keep heading north n west and you're in Elk Lake in the town of Elk Rapids. There's no other place in the world like it! Turquoise water, beautiful people, beautiful scenery, so much to do...or do nothing.

Well Mike, from reading your post I can tell that you are in a beautiful part of the country. It sounds like there is plenty of areas for great houseboat getaways... :)
It must be getting near that time of year where you are thinking about winterizing your boat for the winter. May spring arrive quickly for you.
Lastly, hopefully some of our readers and visitors will share and post comments about their Michigan houseboating experiences and tips.
Feel free to use the "Click here to post comments." link found near the bottom of this page.
Thanks again for sharing, IAN from all-about-houseboats
