Building An Amphibious Houseboat

The beginnings of an amphibious houseboat project
We're building an amphibious houseboat by basically merging a 1967 steel houseboat with a large tractor chassis. It's certainly not your traditional houseboat, but thought someone on here might find it interesting.
The project will be documented on YouTube and made as exciting and crazy as possible. Here is the first part... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9qy7IohDdY
The plan is to have it launched on Cayuga Lake in New York at the start of the summer. There is still a ton of work to be done, but hopefully with help and emotional support from the boating community, it will be a success.
Looking forward to comments, Theon.

Well Theon, thanks for posting in the houseboat forums, AND congratulations on undertaking such a wild looking project.
I am sure between you & your friends, you will all be able to build something truly crazy & fun.
You already seem to have the majority of what is needed, EX: space to build, tools, friends, and the especially the imagination... :)
Lastly, hopefully some of our readers and visitors will share and post comments about their related AMPHIBIOUS houseboat experiences and tips.
