A typical Boatel Houseboat

We have just finished remodeling a 1974 Boatel Houseboat. It is like a battle ship. Much better construction then the new models. I still need some information on my houseboat.


If any of you have any information please let me know. Mine is for sale right now in Florida. It comes with a covered slip, I'm asking 50,000.

Any information would be appreciated. The layout of our houseboat is so user friendly, there is so much storage and a lot of detail.

Hi sara, welcome to the houseboat forums.

It's true, the materials used in older houseboats were definitely made better. Mind you, some of the newer construction materials are also top-notch and last just as long.

Hi, I own an old Boatel 33 ft houseboat. Want to do some restoration/ redesign of interior. I’m looking for specs on how the pontoon houseboats were originally constructed. Ideas?? Thanks!

We have one been doing some extensive work as it has been neglected. Some wax cleaning and a new swim platform. We will be pulling an engine this winter.

Cruise the Ohio River. Moved up from a 30 foot Carver cruiser. The room is unbelievable. 2 full bath, kitchen etc... have me spoiled.
