Any ideas on when this pontoon houseboat was made?

I am the Oral History and Digital Projects Librarian for Berkeley County Library System, headquartered in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

I am currently working on the Atkins Landing Collection. Atkins Landing no longer exists. Several years ago Santee Cooper did not renew the lease and razed it to the ground after it had been there for almost 60 years. Just wrong!
Anyway, I have a collection of photos from the Atkins family. The one I am posting really has me stumped. The car pulling the trailer is a 1973 Ford Thunderbird with opera windows. I can't tell if this pontoon/houseboat was manufactured by a company, custom built, or homemade. Any idea of the era and/or manufacture? Any and all help appreciated.
