The Houseboat INSIDER news - and the Survey says...?

Is Mother Nature powerful or what? So far in 2011 there has been plenty of major weather extremes, things like floods, tornados, major snowstorms, and also some extreme cold weather snaps. I sincerely hope this newsletter finds you healthy, happy, and looking forward to some spring houseboating :)

In regards to last months Houseboat Vistor Poll survey, we had over 1,300 people vote, and we want to thank you all for participating. The survey results show us that we have a very diversified and passionate group of readers and visitors that are interested in the following topics:

As you can see from the survey results, we have our work cut out for us in 2011 as we will be expanding the site content and categories to make it even more interactive, informative, and helpful to an even larger houseboater audience.

Buying a Boat, read this first.

Buying a boat or houseboat for that matter is a great experience that should provide you with years of enjoyment. Unfortunately every year there are hundreds of folks that unknowingly buy the wrong boat, or buy a boat that wreaks financial havoc on them.

That's why I recommend reading this excellent book first, before even visiting some boats for sale. Be prepared, as I can't stress it enough for beginners or veterans.

Winter blues, try a Houseboat Show.

If you're stuck in the winter blues and looking for a small getaway, don't forget that the world's largest houseboat show is in March. It's a great place to spend the day or the weekend browsing or buying anything related to houseboats. Hopefully we can see you there.
